About Us
My name is Ruby Sue, and I am 11 years old and a young entrepreneur. If you have made it to this website, you are seeing the beginning of my second business, R&R Gardening. My first business was a lemonade stand at our local farmers market on Saturdays during the summer.
My goal for R&R Gardening is to provide a top-quality product for the buyer and strengthen my ability as a young entrepreneur. I am selling nutrient-rich and screened topsoil in one-ton bags. In the future, we plan to consider dirt enhancements such as worms, woodchips, and other additional compostable matter that would add nutrients to the topsoil.
Our Process
In the process of making the business, I have gone to auctions to purchase equipment such as the screen to separate the rocks, debris, and trash from the topsoil, as well as a conveyor to connect to the screen to help separate the piles.
For market research, we spent time identifying what is in the typical 40lb bags of topsoil sold at your local stores. Our goal is to provide a more nutrient-rich soil product that will help your garden and lawn needs in bulk.
